In its July 25, 2025 edition, Le Figaro Magazine features our estate in its Art de Vivre / Gastronomy & Wine section, through an article by Martin Lemaire dedicated to the rosé wine dynamic in Provence.

Under the evocative title “The Renewal of La Valetanne”, the author revisits the recent history of our estate, our work philosophy, and the unique character of our terroir in La Londe-les-Maures.

“They continue to believe in rosé wine. Not that sales are collapsing and Provence is trembling with fear, but since the craze of the 2010s, a certain wavering has been felt. Undoubtedly the generalized effect of reduced consumption, but also the recent success of white wine, well-positioned to challenge the emblematic summer wine.

Regardless, the Schuller-Chaufour family took possession in September 2023 of this piece of terroir in La Londe, not the worst of the Côtes-de-Provence.

They don’t wonder if they’ve missed the boat; they continue their family legacy by making these lands, linked to vine cultivation since Gallo-Roman times, prosper. But it’s important to note that mass viticulture has never been practiced here. “I wish to maintain this human scale”, confides Patrick Schuller.

The estate, surrounded by vines, century-old olive trees, and cork oaks, has been the envy of many. It is rumored that Pernod Ricard, which owns 500 hectares of vineyards in the area, and LVMH, had their eyes on it. The wines, organic of course, and 90% rosés, are already well-developed, especially the Odéliane cuvée, tasted from the 2023 vintage.

Vinousness and a gastronomic profile are on the menu: one more proof that rosé wine can sometimes span the seasons.”

This publication rightly highlights our desire to combine heritage, viticultural excellence, and respect for the environment, in a sincere approach focused on quality.

We are delighted to see the press focus on the dedicated work of our entire team, and to share with you this new publication in one of the leading French press titles.
