Château La Valetanne, located in the commune of La Londe-les-Maures, in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, extends over 14 hectares of exceptional land. La Londe-les-Maures, an unspoilt commune on the Var coast, enjoys a unique microclimate between sea and mountains, providing ideal conditions for growing quality vines.
On south-facing slopes overlooking the Mediterranean, with over 300 days of sunshine a year, bathed in the breath of the Mistral wind, we find one of the few places on earth where it is possible to grow a homogeneous, sublime wine, year after year…
Our Provençal vineyards are environmentally friendly, and we make it a point of honor to maintain and improve the vines without the use of chemicals of any kind. It takes many years of experience and know-how to grow vines on this terroir of slate, clay, mica… and very little topsoil. It also demands a great deal of care and vigilance.
Located in the heart of the Côtes de Provence La Londe appellation, the terroir of La Valetanne is unique in its immediate proximity to the Mediterranean. This maritime microclimate ensures moderate summer temperatures and protects the vines from winter frosts, creating ideal conditions for slow, even ripening of the grapes.
La Valetanne’s soils, composed of schist, clay and micaschist, offer a perfect balance between minerality and structure. This unique composition, combined with generous sunshine and the cleansing action of the Mistral wind, results in wines with assertive character and remarkable finesse.
Thanks to a long-standing commitment to preserving this exceptional environment, each grape variety is cultivated with respect and passion, enabling the full richness and diversity of this exceptional Provencal terroir to be expressed.
At Château La Valetanne, we grow five predominantly Provençal grape varieties, chosen to highlight the uniqueness of our terroir. Each cuvée bears witness to our commitment to producing wines of great finesse, reflecting the richness and authenticity of Provence.
A grape variety emblematic of sunny terroirs, Black Grenache seduces with its roundness and silky tannins. Its bewitching aromas of white pepper, licorice, cherry, blueberry and prune bring elegance, warmth and richness, making every tasting a refined experience.
A noble, expressive grape variety, Syrah is distinguished by its intense aromas of red fruits such as cherry, wild currant and blackberry, accompanied by delicate notes of violet. Its fine tannins give the rosé a unique character, while enhancing the flavors of aromatic herbs, black pepper, licorice, truffle and vanilla.
Seduces with its delicately spicy character. Exquisitely fresh, it releases subtle aromas of strawberry, evoking the sweetness of a Provencal summer. Its lightness, mingled with natural elegance, reveals a beautiful roundness on the palate, testifying to the richness of the grape. A grape variety of finesse and refinement
Mourvèdre enchants with its aromatic richness, blending generous notes of raspberry and blueberry with subtle accents of cinnamon, truffle and rosemary. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture and rare depth, enhanced by a sumptuous color. This sunny grape variety, which flourishes ideally facing the sea, embodies the very essence of the Mediterranean, blending character and timeless elegance.
Originally from the sunny lands of Sardinia, Rolle is an emblematic grape variety that combines freshness and intensity. Its enchanting bouquet blends greedy notes of crisp apple, juicy pear, delicate peach and white flowers, sublimated by a hint of invigorating citrus. Behind its lightness lies a beautiful aromatic depth and harmonious structure.
